• 出生於澳門，現居於台灣

• 3歲開始學鋼琴，中學因興趣開始學習作曲       啓蒙師事 王珮伶 老師

• 私立淡江高級中學音樂班作曲畢業                     師事 黃朝英 老師、許毓芳 老師

• 國立臺灣藝術大學音樂系作曲組畢業                 師事 洪雅惠 老師

• 國立臺灣師範大學音樂系碩士班作曲組畢業​     師事 蕭慶瑜 老師

• 國立臺北藝術大學音樂系碩士班作曲組畢業     師事 馬定一 老師

• 鋼琴 副修 師事 莊憶芬 老師、 陳永禎 老師 與  王敏蕙 老師

• 曾多次參加新北市、臺北市學生音樂比賽樂曲創作第一名，並於2019年參加全國學生音樂比賽樂曲創作第一名。

•  於2017年底成立「THETA Music Studio」（希拓音樂工作室），做音樂教學推廣、小編制音樂會錄音錄影製作、各種編制編曲、改編、配樂與音樂分析等案子外，專心於當代音樂創作與演出。

• ​自2019年開始，服務聖家堂彌撒司琴而學習管風琴， 師事 劉郁如 老師、林麗卿 老師、  潘天銘 老師 、 劉信宏 老師​、余曉怡 老師、Sean Jackson 老師與吳宜庭 老師，也曾受波蘭Bogdan Narloch教授與德國Ludger Lohmann教授大師班指導。

• 於「天主教臺北聖家堂  Holy Family Catholic Church in Taipei 」擔任彌撒司琴管風琴師、兒童主日學音樂老師、司琴團成員、教友傳教協進會禮儀組成員與「聖家堂棒鐘團」指導老師。

• 自2021年擔任「新竹直笛合奏團 Hsin-Chu Recorder Orchestra」駐團作曲編曲家與音樂理論老師。

• 自2022年擔任「福爾摩沙管風琴演奏家 Formosa Virtuoso Organist」管風琴演奏家、作曲編曲家、管風琴與棒鐘培育師資。

• 自2023年擔任「台北總教區禮儀委員會聖樂組 Taipei Archdiocese Liturgy Commission Musica Sacra」召集人。

    大學期間，由於開始對自然界所發出的聲響和物品所製造出的聲音有著強烈的興趣與感動，因此在創作上，大自然的聲音常成為我創作的泉源，而能開創新的色澤聲響為我要創作目的之一......

    身為天主教教友，故開始致力創作聖樂歌曲，期望嘗試將其融入音樂創作中，這是我身為當代音樂創作者該有的使命。

Hin-Iat Liu (Petrus)

 

        Hin-Iat Liu (b.1995) is a Macau born composer living in Taiwan. He studied with Ya-Huei Hung graduated from National Taiwan University of Arts (NTUA) in 2017. He got his masters from National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) in 2019 and from Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA) in 2022. At NTNU, he studied with Prof. Ching-Yu Hsiau and at TNUA, he studied with Prof. Ting-Yi Ma.

        Liu has won many awards, including receiving first place in the New Taipei City Student Music Competition, Composition category in every other year from 2011 to 2019 and he also got the National Taiwan student music competition, Composition category in 2019.

        Since 2017, he founded “THETA Music & Arts” where he teaches music, performance and creates his own works. Currently, he is a convener of Taipei Archdiocese Liturgy Commission, a music instructor and Church pipe organist of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Taipei, a pipe organist, composer and arranger of Formosa Virtuoso Organist, and a composer and arranger-in-residence of Hsin-Chu Recorder Orchestra.

        While studying at university, Liu began to have a strong interest in and a deep impression from the sounds produced by the natural world and the sounds produced by the society. This experience became a source of his creation and continues to be his inspiration, contemporary music for the arts.

        As a Macao citizen, he feels the responsibility to promote Cantonese music, and as a composer of contemporary art music, his style is mainly focused on the usage and transformation of the timbre.
